Welcome to RoastBeef
RoastBeef is a site for UK people, so named
after our nickname first coined by the French in
the 18th century in honour (well... disdain more
like) of the nations's favourite dish (at the time
of course, now 'Korma' might be more
appropriate).
The site aims to help friends and family from
towns and villages across the UK, as well as
friends past and present from university or
college, to get back in touch and stay in touch.
Though the site first began as a reunion site,
we hope to encourage current friends to use it as a
meeting place and a way of keeping in touch,
particularly the bar-themed message boards. For
example, a group of local friends may go to
different universities and keep in touch during
term time by 'visiting their local' and then keep
in touch with their respective university buddies
by going to their virtual student bars during the
holidays.
